Design Examples - Martine
Martine knew she wanted a lace dress, but said, as so many brides have been saying recently, that all wedding dresses seem to look the same; strapless, A-line, a bit of bling! She preferred the idea of more cover, but a slim shape to show her figure. Having tried some of the lace samples, she settled on an ivory/champagne French corded lace, over a matte, fluid fabric.
Carolyn suggested cutting the design on the shoulder, then adding the very decorative scallop edging as a cap sleeve.
As a classic English beauty, Martine wanted her dress to be beautiful but understated, so , no sparkle, just a subtle scattering of smaller pearls around the neckline, a vintage flower and trailing chiffon ribbons to complete the look. She was delighted!
